Microwave Night Light Won T Turn Off

Microwave programmable auto nite light.

Microwave night light won t turn off. Press the auto nite light pad. I replaced the lightbulbs on my kenmore microwave model 721 62622200 but they stay on even though the switch says 0ff and they do not respond to the night setting either. I tried unplugging the microwave for 30 seconds or so to let it reset but as soon as i plugged it back in the light is on. Tags light won t shut off microwave wmh31017as 3.

The weird thing is that now the light won t go off. Now however the lights at the bottom of hooded unit wont respond to light controls. Everything else on the unit works find. Yes there is a switch on the control panel to turn light on and select bright or not so bright.
